Privacy policy
How TRANSGEO processes the personal data of clients, partners, job applicants and website visitors, and what rights you have.
Who is responsible for the data
The controller of personal data is TRANSGEO Ltd. (ТРАНСГЕО ЕООД), UIC 040248911, with its registered office and address of management at 12 Nikola Obrazopisov St., 1408 Sofia, Bulgaria.
The company has not appointed a data protection officer. For any question about personal data, write to office@transgeo-bg.com.
The website
- The website uses no cookies, no visitor analytics (such as Google Analytics) and no advertising.
- There are no forms on the website. If you write to us, you do so from your own email.
- Fonts, scripts, images and videos load from our own server, not from other websites.
- The server automatically records technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, the page opened and the browser type. These records serve only the security and operation of the website and are kept by our hosting provider under its own rules. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
- The Google Maps links next to the office addresses open Google’s website, where Google’s privacy policy applies.
What data we process and why
When you write to us. Your name, email, phone number, company and the content of your message. We use them to reply and to prepare an offer. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(b) and (f)).
Clients and partners. The names, positions and contact details of representatives and contact persons. For a contract with an individual, also the data the law requires for the contract: name, personal identification number and address. For geodetic and cadastral services we also process the property and ownership data the service requires. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal obligations — accounting, tax and the regulations that apply to the service (points (b) and (c)).
Job applicants. The data in the CV and covering letter you send us. We use them only for the selection. Legal basis: steps before an employment contract (point (b)); for longer storage, your consent (point (a)).
We make no automated decisions and do no profiling.
How long we keep the data
- Enquiries that did not lead to a contract — up to 1 year from the last message.
- Contracts, invoices and accounting documents — for the periods set by law: accounting registers and financial statements 10 years; contracts, invoices and documents for tax and social security control 5 years after the limitation period for the related public liability expires.
- Correspondence with clients and partners — up to 5 years after the contract ends, so that we can defend our rights in a dispute.
- Job applicants’ data — up to 6 months after the selection ends; longer only with your consent.
After these periods the data are deleted or destroyed.
Who receives the data
- Our hosting provider SuperHosting.BG, whose servers in the European Union hold the website and our company email. It processes data only on our instructions.
- Public authorities and institutions, where the law requires it — for example the National Revenue Agency, the courts, and the Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Agency and its offices (for cadastral services).
- Clients and partners on the project in question — only as far as needed to carry it out.
We do not sell personal data. We do not transfer data outside the European Union unless a specific contract requires it and the law allows it.
How we protect the data
Only employees who need personal data for their work have access to it. We apply physical, organisational and technical measures: access control to the office, locked rooms for documents and protected computer systems.
Your rights
You can ask for:
- access to your data and a copy of it;
- correction of inaccurate or outdated data;
- erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”) when we have no ground to keep it;
- restriction of processing;
- your data in a machine-readable format (portability).
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before it.
Send requests to office@transgeo-bg.com. We reply within one month. For complex or numerous requests this may be extended by two further months, and we will tell you. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for more information.
Complaints
If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection: 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., 1592 Sofia, www.cpdp.bg — or to the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work.
